Support a New Generation of Reconcilers
$250 Donation
Sponsor 15 hours of compensation for an undergraduate research assistant at Mary Hoch Center for Reconciliation (MHCR).
Example: After starting as an undergraduate transcribing our research interviews, Hannah Adamson stayed with MHCR and has become an award-winning master’s student leading the Transformation and Reconciliation Lab. She was recognized by George Mason University as the 2023 Senior of the Year and received the Presidential Management Fellowship.

Sponsor the a practitioner or community member as they participate in a trauma healing workshop organized by MHF, with our Insider Reconciler Fellows in the Horn of Africa or North American Indigenous Communities.
Example: Isra (above right) attended the “Connecting Our Healing Journey and the Healing of Our People” workshop in Kenya in November 2023. Isra is now working with Insider Reconciler Rowda Olad coordinating the Students for Peace Initiative in Somalia.

Support the research of MHCR, that is already shaping the filed of Conflict Resolution - or sponsor student field research documenting the work of Insider Reconcilers.
Example: Merisa Mattix travelled to Mt. Elgon in Kenya to interview participants and research the impacts of the Healing Circles convened by Insider Reconciler Fellow Tecla Namachanja Wanjala.
MHCR’s Director Antti Pentikäinen was recently awarded 2024 Career Connection Faculty Award by the George Mason University.
Sponsor a Trauma Healing Workshop
$5,000 Donation
Your gift would cover the cost of a local trauma healing workshop, led by an MHF Insider Reconciler Fellow or our Indigenous partners in the Horn of Africa, tribal lands in North America, or Scandinavia. We would be pleased to arrange for you to attend this or another trauma healing workshop.
Example: Del Laverdure hosts co-creation workshops with MHF for Native American and other indigenous practitioners how to integrate indigenous cultural knowledge into mental health and psychosocial support services.
